Product details
Product description
The further development of our OABR2Ethernet media converter is now also capable of converting Gigabit Ethernet data between 1000BASE-T1 and standard Ethernet. 100BASE-T1 is also supported. The device is primarily used to convert Ethernet signals between a vehicle’s control unit on one side and a PC or data logger on the other. It can also be used for any other application where this functionality is required.
The Automotive Ethernet Converter also contains a high-speed CAN transceiver. If no activity is detected on the connected CAN bus, the device can optionally be set to sleep mode to reduce power consumption. The length of time without CAN activity can be set via software.
The basic configuration is carried out via DIP switches and LEDs indicate the status of the media converter and the connected interfaces. The device’s firmware can be updated via a USB bootloader.

Project-specific adaptations
All components of the XORAYA ecosystem are designed to work together seamlessly and can be flexibly combined to create individual system solutions. The modular architecture enables targeted expansions without changing the existing system logic – for a consistent and scalable system in terms of data rate, memory, interfaces and performance.
Verification, tests & conformity to standards
All devices undergo comprehensive verification tests, including functional tests, boundary scan tests and system tests as well as EMC tests. In addition, mechanical function and wear tests, vibration tests and temperature and humidity tests are carried out to ensure reliability under real operating conditions.
Our development and business processes meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. X2E is also certified according to TISAX® (ENX Association) and meets the information security requirements of the automotive industry. All devices bear the CE mark and comply with the applicable European directives.
