Product description

The XORAYA MultiProbe X1 expands the XORAYA data loggers with numerous additional communication interfaces and enables measurements in the immediate vicinity of the signal source. The acquired data is transmitted via Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) or 10 GbE to a data logger such as the XORAYA N4000+. There, the data is synchronized and reliably stored on internal or external storage media.

With the Probe B12 is another probe that has been specially developed for recording automotive Ethernet.

All components of the XORAYA ecosystem are designed for seamless interoperability and can be flexibly combined into customized system solutions. The modular architecture enables targeted expansions without altering the existing system logic. This creates a future-proof platform that scales alongside evolving requirements regarding data rates, storage, interfaces, and performance.

All devices undergo comprehensive verification tests, including functional tests, boundary scan tests and system tests as well as EMC tests. In addition, mechanical function and wear tests, vibration tests and temperature and humidity tests are carried out to ensure reliability under real operating conditions.

In addition, we conduct compliance tests for automotive and standard Ethernet interfaces using Teledyne LeCroy measurement systems and QualiPHY software. This ensures standards-compliant and reproducible measurement results, enabling reliable integration into vehicle networks and development environments.

Our development and business processes meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. X2E is also certified according to TISAX® (ENX Association) and meets the information security requirements of the automotive industry. All devices bear the CE mark and comply with the applicable European directives.

FAQ

In this FAQ you will find answers to key questions about the XORAYA MultiProbe X1 – from typical application scenarios and technical features to how it compares to other solutions.

The XORAYA MultiProbe X1 is an external probe for adding additional interfaces to XORAYA data loggers and data sinks. It is used for decentralized data acquisition and enables synchronized recording of communication and measurement data directly at the signal source.

The captured data is transmitted via Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) or 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) to a central data logger (e.g., XORAYA N4000+), where it is synchronized and stored. The MultiProbe X1 itself does not perform data storage.

Typical applications in the automotive sector:

  • Decentralized data acquisition in vehicle networks
  • Extension of existing data loggers with additional bus interfaces
  • Measurements directly on control units or bus systems
  • Test drives and vehicle testing with distributed measuring points
  • Function validation (e.g. ADAS, autonomous driving)

Further areas of application:

  • Robotics and autonomous systems
  • Mechanical engineering and industrial plants
  • Research and development (modular measuring systems)

The XORAYA MultiProbe X1 is compatible with XORAYA data loggers and data sinks, to which it transmits captured data for recording. These include, in particular, the XORAYA N4000/N4000+ and ML-N4000, as well as central data sinks such as the N8000 or N16000.

The connection is made via GbE or 10GbE, allowing the MultiProbe X1 to be flexibly integrated into distributed logging architectures.

The XORAYA MultiProbe X1 expands XORAYA data loggers with additional communication and measurement interfaces, enabling data acquisition directly at the signal source.

It supports the following bus systems and interfaces:

  • CAN-FD
  • CAN-FD SIC
  • LIN
  • 100BASE-T1 (Automotive Ethernet)
  • 1000BASE-T1 (Automotive Ethernet)
  • Gigabit Ethernet
  • Analog signals

The captured data is transmitted via Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) or 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) to a connected data logger, such as the XORAYA N4000+. There, the data is time-synchronized and stored on internal or external storage media.

Like all XORAYA logging products, the MultiProbe X1 can be configured, read out, and operated using the XORAYA Suite. The suite provides the customer with comprehensive capabilities for working with the probe, eliminating the need to install additional tools separately. A single installation gives the customer full control.

To operate and automate the test setup on the test bench, X2E also offers the XORAYA SDK. In addition, the mobile XORAYA app for smartphones and tablets is supported.

The XORAYA MultiProbe X1 is designed for reliable use in demanding test environments, such as those encountered during vehicle testing or test bench operations.

It supports a temperature range of -40°C to +65°C, making it suitable for use in demanding environmental conditions. Thanks to its robust design, the MultiProbe X1 operates reliably even when subjected to mechanical stresses such as vibration. This is particularly true for applications where the device is installed in close proximity to the signal source.

The MultiProbe X1 expands data loggers with a large number of additional interfaces and enables decentralized acquisition of communication and measurement data directly at the signal source. It does not store the data itself, but transmits it to a connected data logger for synchronization and storage.
