Product description

The XORAYA Probe B12 is a compact probe specially designed for recording automotive Ethernet. It extends the existing interfaces of XORAYA data loggers and enables the use of measuring devices in close proximity to the source. The data is transmitted via 1GbE or 10GbE interfaces to a data logger such as the XORAYA N4000, synchronized and stored internally or externally. The transmission speed is up to 8 Gbit/s.

With the MultiProbe X1, another probe is available that can record multiple bus systems simultaneously.

All components of the XORAYA ecosystem are designed to work together seamlessly and can be flexibly combined to create individual system solutions. The modular architecture enables targeted expansions without changing the existing system logic – for a consistent and scalable system in terms of data rate, storage, interfaces and performance.

All devices undergo comprehensive verification tests, including functional tests, boundary scan tests and system tests as well as EMC tests. In addition, mechanical function and wear tests, vibration tests and temperature and humidity tests are carried out to ensure reliability under real operating conditions.

We also carry out compliance tests for automotive and standard Ethernet interfaces using Teledyne LeCroy measurement systems and QualiPHY software. This produces standard-compliant, reproducible measurement results that enable reliable integration into vehicle networks and development environments.

Our development and business processes meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. X2E is also certified according to TISAX® (ENX Association) and meets the information security requirements of the automotive industry. All devices bear the CE mark and comply with the applicable European directives.

The XORAYA Probe B12 is a compact probe for decentralized acquisition of communication and measurement data directly at the signal source. It is used in combination with XORAYA data loggers or data sinks and enables precise, synchronized measurements in distributed system architectures.

The XORAYA Probe B12 is compatible with XORAYA data loggers and data sinks to which it transmits the data it collects for recording. These include in particular systems such as the XORAYA N4000/N4000+, ML-N4000 and central data sinks such as the N8000 or N16000.

The connection is made via Ethernet, allowing the Probe B12 to be flexibly integrated into distributed logging architectures.

The XORAYA Probe B12 is designed for recording automotive Ethernet communication and has 12 logging interfaces (12x 100/1000BASE-T1).

The connection to data loggers or data sinks is made via Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), which ensures fast and synchronous transmission of the recorded data.

Like all XORAYA logging products, the Probe B12 can be configured, read out, and operated using the XORAYA Suite. The suite provides the customer with comprehensive capabilities for working with the probe, eliminating the need to install additional tools separately. A single installation gives the customer full control.

To operate and automate the test setup on the test bench, X2E also offers the XORAYA SDK. In addition, the mobile XORAYA app for smartphones and tablets is supported.

The XORAYA Probe B12 is designed for use in demanding test environments and is suitable for applications under adverse environmental conditions, such as those encountered in vehicle testing.

It supports a temperature range of -40 to +65 °C and is therefore suitable for use under severe temperature fluctuations. Thanks to its compact and robust design, it can also be used directly close to the signal source, even under mechanical loads such as vibrations in the vehicle.

The XORAYA Probe B12 is a probe for data acquisition that extends the available interfaces of a data logger. It is connected directly to bus systems and enables the acquisition of data close to the signal source. It does not store the recorded data itself, but transmits it to a connected data logger or data sink for further processing.

The Probe stands out due to its form factor and price. The form factor of the Probe B12 is comparable to that of the N2000; finding 12x 1000BASE-T1 interfaces in such a compact form factor is rare in the industry.
Furthermore, the ability to configure our 1000BASE-T1 interfaces via software to operate as 100BASE-T1 is a feature not found in every automotive Ethernet product on the market.
This allows the number of interfaces on the logger to be expanded manifold.
