Overview
The External Level Shifter converts low voltage TTL (3.3 V) signals to standard RS-232 UART signals and vice versa. Its intended purpose is to convert serial signals between a car’s head unit on one side and a PC or data logger on the other. It can also be used for other devices in an industrial setting where a conversion of serial signals is needed. One shared input/output connection on the front of the External Level Shifter connects both sides of the conversion.
