Merry Christmas and a good start to the New Year

The X2E Group would like to wish all customers, partners and employees a wonderful Christmas and a successful start to the new year. We would like to thank you for the trusting collaboration and the many joint projects over the past year. Every encounter, every exchange and every shared challenge has helped us to grow and develop as a company.

As the year draws to a close, it is an opportunity to pause and look back on what we have achieved. New Location in the Munich Area

X2E GmbH expands its presence in Germany and will open a new location in the Munich area on October 1, 2025.

Customers benefit from the new location

With the new office at the Business Campus Garching, we are taking an important strategic step to strengthen our proximity to customers in southern Germany. “Companies in this region will benefit from shorter distances, faster response times, and a direct local contact person,” emphasizes the management of X2E GmbH.

New contact for Southern Germany

To establish and manage the new location, X2E GmbH has appointed Christopher Glaser. The experienced Technical Account Manager started his role on August 1, 2025. He brings many years of industry experience and in-depth technical expertise, making him ideally equipped to provide customers with competent advice and successfully implement projects. “I am very much looking forward to building up the new Munich office and working together with our customers in the South to drive exciting projects forward,” says Christopher Glaser.

New Headquarters for the X2E Group

Major Project in Rohrbach: X2E Invests in a New Company Campus

The X2E Group is building a new headquarters in Rohrbach, setting a clear signal for growth and future viability. On an area of around 22,000 square meters, a modern company campus will be built in the coming years, providing space for up to 200 employees. The first construction phase includes the central main building as well as the development of the outdoor areas and is planned with an investment volume of around ten million euros. The building application has already been submitted, making a construction start in late 2025 realistic. Completion is scheduled for spring 2027. The project is being implemented in cooperation with HEBERGER System-Bau GmbH, HEBERGER Engineering GmbH , and the architects of Werkgemeinschaft Landau.

Main Building as the Heart of the Campus

The new main building forms the central element of the X2E Campus. Its modern architecture is characterized by clear lines and generous glass façades. This creates an open, light-flooded atmosphere and a transparent, welcoming working environment. The construction method combines functional efficiency with contemporary design, underlining the site’s technological ambitions.

Focus on Sustainability

The campus is consistently designed for energy efficiency and sustainability. Large-scale photovoltaic systems—including rooftop installations, solar carports, and even an innovative PV fence—will generate a significant portion of the required energy directly on-site. In combination with a modern battery storage system, this creates an energy supply that is as self-sufficient as possible while also supporting the grid, buffering peak loads, and intelligently feeding surplus energy back into the grid. In addition, preparations are being made for the later integration of hydrogen technologies, for example through the collection of rainwater, which can in future be used both for irrigating green areas and in electrolysis plants.

Development of Further Construction Phases

In further phases of construction, two additional buildings are planned on the northern part of the site, providing production facilities on the ground floor and office space on the upper floors. On the southern part of the site, an area is designated specifically for the hydrogen business unit as well as a versatile multipurpose building.

“The new campus is a big step for all of us and a milestone for X2E. Our development in recent years shows: we are growing continuously. With the new site, we are creating the spatial foundation to further develop the X2E Group in a future-proof and innovative way. The X2E GmbH officially meets the TISAX standard!

X2E GmbH has completed certification in accordance with TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange). This confirms compliance with the highest standards in information security, specifically tailored to the requirements of the automotive industry, and serves as the basis for a uniform assessment.

TISAX certification ensures that the protection objectives of integrity, confidentiality and availability of data are met in all relevant areas. This includes effective incident management, measures to ensure business continuity, strict access and access controls as well as secure communication and trusting supplier relationships.

“The TISAX certification is a significant milestone that underlines our commitment to information security and promotes smooth cooperation with our customers in the automotive industry,” explains Danny Freier, Head of Information Security. “This success would not have been possible without the commitment and expertise of our team.”

Conclusion of contract for new X2E site in Karlsruhe

After Rohrbach, Wildau and Strausberg, Karlsruhe is the next X2E location in the starting blocks. The “X2E Embedded Software Lab” is opening at Kriegsstraße 77 and will provide space for up to 40 embedded software developers.
The advantages of the new location include excellent transport links and a central location. The newly renovated office floor is within walking distance of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) and is therefore also attractive for students.
The first employees could move into the Kriegsstraße location as early as April. The corresponding contracts have already been signed.

X2E wishes Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2022

Dear customers, partners and employees,

the year 2022 is drawing to a close. At X2E, data loggers get a new use during this time: Santa Claus has been inspired by our loggers and used them as a template for his gift wrapping. The paper loggers have already started their journey to their recipients fully loaded – filled with delicious delicacies and little surprises instead of boards and screws.

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas! May 2023 bring you good luck, health and success. Have a good start into the new year!

X2E Group donates to Ukraine: Another aid shipment on its way

Another transport of relief goods with the destination Khmelnytskyy has set off from the X2E headquarters in Rohrbach. It was the third delivery of material donations for Ukraine, which was organized by the X2E Group.

On board: solar generators, PV panels, power banks, numerous backpacks, sleeping mats, baby food, hygiene products and urgently needed medical products – including various wound dressings and compresses, decompression needles, wound disinfection and hemostatic agents.

The recipients, the “Volunteers of Podillya” as well as the “Christian Rehabilitation Center Khmelnytskyi” were very happy. “In these difficult times, any help is invaluable. I am very grateful to Dr. Weiss and all involved employees of the X2E Group for their support,” says Oleksandr Skurlov, who himself played a major role in organizing the fundraising.

X2E Group organizes aid transport for Ukraine

The war in Ukraine directly threatens the lives of millions of people. Hundreds of thousands have already been forced to leave their homes. In addition, there are countless internally displaced persons who have set out to seek shelter in other parts of the country. In view of the immense suffering of the civilian population, we decided to organize a transport of relief supplies. Together with the employees of the X2E Group, we have collected donations in kind and money for the Khmelnytskyi region in Ukraine over the past few days. These will now be driven to the Polish-Ukrainian border. A local aid organization will take over the further transport and distribution in the region. Urgently needed medicines and hygiene articles as well as sleeping bags, sleeping mats, backpacks and emergency power supplies will be handed over. The joint fundraising campaign raised over 10,000 euros. Many thanks to all who made this transport possible.

Kickoff for the X2E Flight Test Center

X2E Aerospace Technologies GmbH, a member of the X2E Group, is planning to establish its own flight test center within the greater Berlin area. Last week, a strategy agreement was signed for this purpose at the Strausberg Airport which is located nearby the capital. At the new company location we are going to work on the development and testing of innovative aviation technologies and create up to 30 high-tech job positions.

New Offices planned for Aeronautical Research

We are planning on the construction of the X2E flight test center in Strausberg by 2024. The construction plan encompasses an airplane hangar that will allow us to start test flights with our own aircraft, a newly equiped Partenavia P.68. Next to it, there is going to be an office building with development offices, meeting rooms and testing areas. Within these buildings, X2E Aerospace Technologies is going to conduct future aviation projects.

The focus of the center will be set on the development and testing of aerospace data loggers. A further business area of the X2E Aerospace Technologies in Strausberg will encompass climate-neutral and hybrid-electric propulsions. We are planning on the creation of around 30 new job positions with excellent future prospects, among others in the fields of aerospace engineering, electrical engineering and business administration.

Strategy Agreement at the Strausberg Airport

The Strausberg Airport is not only within the capital region of Germany and close to the X2E Aerospace Technologies headquarter in Wildau, it also meets our technological requirements. At the airport we may combine test flights and development offices in one place. During the last week, the airport took another attractive step by starting the instrument approach system.

As part of the celebrations for its opening, the airport’s managing director Irina Kühnel and Dr. Karlheinz Weiss from X2E Aerospace Technologies have just signed a joint strategy agreement. – “We are pleased about the valuable cooperation and the promising start for an X2E flight test center at the Strausberg Airport,” as Dr. Karlheinz Weiss said.
