Overview

OABR2CAN is an automotive media gateway between one OPEN Alliance BroadR-Reach® (OABR) interface and two high-speed CAN interfaces. A user-editable routing table stores the information of how the data is transferred between the interfaces.

If there is no activity on the connected CAN buses, the media gateway can optionally be put into sleep mode to reduce power consumption. The sleep timeout is configurable via software.

Basic configuration is realised with DIP switches, and LEDs provide information about the current status of the media gateway and the connected interfaces. The firmware of the device can be updated via USB bootloader.
