Prevent Damages in Case of a Voltage Drop
In many situations, you may be able to foresee a voltage drop. Maybe you switch off your vehicle’s electrical power supply intentionally or you shutdown the power supply to prevent an accident. Expensive technical devices can take damage from the sudden voltage drop. To save data loggers and further devices from this damage you will depend on protecting your devices against a voltage drop. Here, the Universal Power Bridge (UPoB) can be applied. It can balance oscillations and outages by supplying electrical energy to connected devices.
The Universal Power Bridge Protects Devices Against a Voltage Drop
The Universal Power Bridge ensures the supply of critical electronic loads, when the power supply is disturbed. It takes continuous voltage measurements of electrical devices and identifies a voltage drop in time. Then, it works as a supplier for the required electrical power. At the same time, it also measures its own loading capacity. If it is too low to further bridge a voltage drop, it gives a signal via CAN, RS232 or via the switching output to shut down the technical device. Though not being supplied with electrical power anymore, the device is protected against data loss.
The Universal Power Bridge is not only applicable to our Xoraya devices, but can be used in protection of various electrical devices. It can measure the voltage of any device and protects it in case of voltage drop or power outage.
